Stage-1 of Qld western corridor recycled water project complete: pipeline from Bundamba Treatment Plant to Swanbank power station

Posted by gmarkets on 3 September, 2007

A key part of the Queensland Government’s water strategy officially would be opened on Sunday, 9 September, reported The Courier Mail (3/9/2007). Do drink the water: Work has finished on stage one of the western corridor recycled water project – a pipeline from the Bundamba Advanced Water Treatment Plant to Swanbank power station, west of Brisbane. Premier Peter Beattie and Deputy Premier Anna Bligh would attend a public open day at the plant where they were expected to sample the recycled water. Experts said the water chemically is purer than tap water out of Wivenhoe Dam.
